Phoenicia Perfumes has risen from the ashes and our first blends are now available in store and online at Blackbird Apothecary. The current line-up is just a new dawn for Phoenicia, we have many more fragrances, some already composed and macerating and others still brewing in the flask and on the mind's horizon. Skin Graft

Skin Graft is an autobiographical scent inspired by David’s hospital treatment for Stevens-Johnson Syndrome. The perfume narrates the powerful hallucinations of alien flowers he experienced during an induced coma as his skin was grafted and began to heal. The addictive combination of sweet floral notes, gauze accord and animalic honey, create a fragrance which is otherworldly yet eerily familiar. You have never experienced a perfume like Skin Graft before.

REALOUD ~ new batch out late July 2013.

We have reasons to doubt there is more than a microscopic dab of real oud oil in any of the popular Western ouds that designers keep cranking out and the public keeps spraying. REALOUD is a sultan’s blend in the true tradition of Arabic perfumery. David has spent countless days sourcing the most genuine materials to create this “mukhallat”, a symbiotic maceration without adherence to the Western scent pyramid. He’s used real Indian oud fermented in clay pots,, Bulgarian red roses, spices and animalics. The final result is a fully uncensored, authentic olfactory expedition that is unlike any hyped Western oud blend. This is a highly concentrated fragrance with amazing sillage and longevity.

Ultra Flora

Ultra Flora is a product of David’s ongoing love affair with luscious florals. Ultra Flora contains full-bodied natural ingredients that evoke the sensual luxury of the florals of yesteryear paired with David’s unrestrained style. The scent opens with dazzling notes of citrus and spice followed by juicy flowers that blossom with the warmth of the skin. A heavy dose of oak moss and civet add unexpected depth. A few dabs behind the ears and you’ll know exactly what we’re talking about.
